Hostalen 3531B

LyondellBasell

Description

Hostalen 3531B is a natural colour polyethylene resin with high melt viscosity for extrusion. The product provides good stress crack resistance properties (ESCR) combined with very good long term hydrostatic strength even at raised temperature (RT).
Based on ISO 9080 evaluation, the product can be classified as PE80 with a minimum required strength (MRS) of 8 MPa according to ISO 12162:2009. Hostalen 3531B fullfills the requirements of DIN 16833 / ISO 24033 for PE-RT Type I. This includes the requirements for application classes 2,4 and 5 according to ISO 10508.
Hostalen 3531B offers good long term heat aging stability and extraction stability for > 50 years at 70°C.

Typical customer applications are: Underfloor heating pipes with high flexibility for easy installation and multilayer pipes for heating and plumbing.
