Employees from LyondellBasell Channelview Complex (CVO), Houston Engineering Center (HEC), and Houston Technology Center (HTC) joined forces to support the Channelview Independent School District (CISD) Dia De Los Muertos celebration at Ray Maddry Memorial Stadium.
The Dia De Los Muertos event was a free cultural festival open to all ages. It featured traditional music, food, entertainment, and activities honoring the Mexican Day of the Dead tradition. LYB participated as a sponsor, provided bilingual support during the fundraiser, and informed the community of vapor and CAER messaging in English and Spanish.
"Our collaboration across multiple sites to support this event showcases our dedication to the communities where we live and work," said HEC HR Consultant and LEAD Programming Chair Jessica Greer. "By embracing cultural events like Dia De Los Muertos, we strengthen our bonds and celebrate our area's rich diversity."
The joint effort among the Latin Employees Advancing DEI (LEAD) groups from CVO, HTC, and HEC employees exemplifies the LYB values of teamwork and community involvement.
