The LyondellBasell Complex (CVO) employees participated in the 14th annual Prairie Plant-a-thon at Sheldon Lake State Park, joining local efforts to restore native prairies in Texas.
"Participating in the Prairie Plant-a-thon is a hands-on way for us to contribute to the health of our local ecosystems," said Nancy Ross of the CVO Community Engagement Committee. "It's rewarding to know our efforts will benefit the environment."
Guided by Texas Parks and Wildlife environmental experts, the CVO team of employees and their families helped plant species such as bluestem, switchgrass, and Indian paintbrush to support local wildlife and promote biodiversity. By day's end, volunteers had contributed to restoring the prairie landscape.
