LyondellBasell (LYB) aims to increase the recycling of difficult-to-recycle flexible plastic waste materials – which make up most of the post-consumer plastic waste today.
We are therefore expanding our portfolio with the addition of a new recycling technology. Newcycling is our unique solvent-based recycling technology for low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
Newcycling complements our mechanical recycling technology and our proprietary chemical recycling technology. As a result, we are adding another solution for our customers to meet their circularity ambitions and goals.
The solvent-based recycling technology enables LYB to produce new high-quality materials that can be used in applications like flexible packaging. The materials produced will be sold under the LYB Circulen portfolio.
